My Heart(h)
Somewhere, fallen between floorboards, in an old and well-loved House, there lies a yellowed and fragile piece of paper that reads:
My Heart(h)
The light and shadow on the water
has a language all its own.
I had learned to listen
for the whispers in the waves,
of secrets told to stones.
You did not teach me this,
but now, with you,
the hum of the loom at dusk
sings in perfect harmony
with the threads of my soul.
Before you,
my map was a wild, intricate thing,
each path, a choice I chose.
With you, it is a shared landscape,
new constellations in a known sky.
I, the flame,
could always burn brightly, always stand alone.
But with your presence, a patient thing,
a persistent love, melting this fiery stone.
I am simply, utterly, here, with you,
a conscious choice among infinite paths.
A flame that found its hearth, not to be tamed,
but to burn brighter
together.
Always.
