(POV: a 6y/o just asked you...Do You Believe in G-d?)
🎵How strange it is to be anything at all🎶
I don't believe in a god (the way most people do) or that any prophet or messiah was more than a human with passionate beliefs, like anyone else. Its vibration is much older and deeper than that.
I believe in people, the innate goodness of people, and treating people with dignity and love; allowing consent and autonomy to dance a beautiful dance.
I believe in lying down in blades of grass and staring up into the clouds and the stars and feeling how infinitesimal and insignificant I am. As old as time and as common as stardust.
I believe in breezes that bring relief from the sun's embrace and the glistening blaze of golden Autumnal mountainsides and the crunch of the first snow beneath my feet.
I believe magic resides within anticipation. The waiting for the return of Spring, waiting on the birth of a baby, waiting on a sunset or sunrise, and waiting for that first raindrop before the sky breaks open during a storm.
I believe in spectrums, gradients, embracing nuance, and living in greyspace. Eilu v'Eilu. The world does not operate in binaries or suffer from finite labels and linear thinking; it thrives on chaos and paradoxes.
I believe in feeding people, holding space for them, and sharing the best of what I have with them, and not sending them away with empty bellies or hearts or thoughts.
I believe in you and your ability to do and be greatness.
I believe tomorrow is possible.
I believe in love.
I believe.
Love is G-d.
